The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft has recently established the Collaborative Research Center 951 focusing on hybrid structures made of inorganic semiconductors, conjugated organic materials, and metal nanostructures with emphasize on their opto-electronic and photonic properties. The workshop is the center’s public kick-off event and intends to present an international forum for discussing concepts and recent research results in the field.

Tag der Informatik
Seinen Tag der Informatik begeht das Institut für Informatik der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in diesem Jahr am 19. Mai 2011. Am Vormittag findet ab 10.00 Uhr ein Industrieforum im Erwin Schrödinger-Zentrum statt, am Nachmittag ab 13.00 Uhr an gleicher Stelle das Institutsprogramm mit Vorträgen, Prämierung der besten Diplomarbeiten und der allseits sehr beliebten Gong-Show. Ab 17.30 Uhr lädt dann das Institut zu einem Treffen in das Foyer des Johann von Neumann-Hauses mit Speisen und Getränken ein. Alle sind herzlich eingeladen.
